Holy Spirit Primary School is a mixed, non-selective, Roman Catholic, independent primary school in Australian Capital Territory, serving students from the age of 4-11. The primary school is situated in Nicholls.
Holy Spirit Primary School opened in 1996. It runs under the Catholic Education Commission of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn, and shares facilities with Gold Creek School. The primary school prides itself on being an inclusive community that welcomes and supports all children and their families. The school places importance on technology, and has implemented the Bring Your Own iPad Program (BYO iPad) from Year 5 to assist and enhance classroom learning.
Facilities at the Holy Spirit Primary School include a library, computer suite, multi-purpose hall, canteen and extensive outside playing grounds.
Holy Spirit Primary School follows the Australian Curriculum and offer a broad and balanced range of subjects and teaching methods to help enhance the development of each child, including a wide variety of arts – drama, dance, media arts, music and visual arts to stimulate students creativity. Pupils are taught French from Kindergarten, with lessons held in a dedicated French room. A wide range of additional services are also on offer to pupils, including a school counsellor and student welfare officer.
