About Littleover Community School
Littleover Community School is an 11-18, co-educational, comprehensive secondary school administered by Derby City Council. Our school is situated four miles to the south west of the centre of Derby, in pleasant, spacious grounds. It has a proud academic and pastoral record and is always popular within its own catchment area and beyond.
We now welcome 295 pupils into Year 7 each year, giving us a current roll of approximately 1800, including a Sixth form of over 330 students.
Our examination results are consistently above local and national averages and in October 2007, we were classed as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, a judgement subsequently confirmed by evaluation of our performance over the last decade.
It will always be our aim at Littleover to care for all our pupils as individuals. We also wish to provide each of them with an enjoyable and varied learning experience and help them to fulfil their potential.
“Pupils get excellent support, advice and guidance from teachers, support staff, tutors and senior managers. Pupils develop very good learning skills and habits from a very early age, which underpin their high achievement. They receive excellent preparations for examinations, and always complete coursework because of very thorough monitoring systems.”
