Thank you for taking the time to consider joining the talented staff team here at New Forest Academy. As Principal, I love to see students succeed, so to be in a job devoted to helping every student achieve the best they can in learning and life is a real privilege.
As an academy we are focused on high quality learning and striving for educational excellence. G.C.S.E. results in 2018 now place New Forest Academy above national performance in many areas.
The academy was graded as a Good school in the March 2018 Ofsted inspection.
Our Progress 8 results are the best in the local area.
Ofsted commented that "Leaders have successfully improved teaching across the school. It is now good overall. There is a strong culture of learning among the staff which is continuing this improvement."
In the Ofsted report they also noted that "Pupils are proud of their school and the contributions that they make to help refine and develop it. They are respectful to each other and behave well in and out of lessons." There continues to be a strong culture of care and support for students and this helps to ensure their safety and well being.
We have strong links with local organisations such as the Winchester Science Centre, Southampton University and ExxonMobile to enable students to develop knowledge and skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) based subjects.
Our links with local educational providers are outstanding. We work with The Romsey School, The Ringwood School and Teaching Alliance to share best practice in teaching and learning.
We pride ourselves on being a fully comprehensive school placed at the heart of the community. We want all of our students to be happy, ambitious and achieve results that reflect their true potential.
I know perceptions play a big part in your decision when choosing the right school in which to build a successful career. So don’t just take my word for it, come and visit us to see for yourself.
