About Newark Academy
Newark Academy is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary academy with sixth form in Nottinghamshire. As of the most recent inspection there were 619 students on the school roll, of which 48 were in 16–19 study programmes. The school is a member of the Nova Education Trust. Newark Academy can be accessed via the A1 by car, and is located close to Highfields School. The town of Newark has a population of 28,000, and is known for its castle dating to the 12th Century. Newark Academy operates from a new, state-of-the-art building opened in January 2016. A large, sports hall plays host to a variety of indoor activities including basketball, cricket and trampolining.

Newark Academy offers a collection of unique enrichment activities for students to access that will help them tap into and build on their skills and talents. As well as a range of sporting teams activities for students includes street dance, yoga, and martial arts. The academy also has strong connections with Newark Community Art Club.
