Values and vision
Newfield School places students at the centre of all it does. It prides itself on being fully inclusive and caters to students’ individual needs and development. The secondary school has high expectations and its goal is to improve life chances for each pupil irrespective of their starting point. Teachers strive to provide an outstanding education for pupils and ensure their time at school is happy and fulfilling.
“There is a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the school, students are friendly and polite. The new headteacher and other senior staff have transformed the direction of the school. There is now a clear vision and sense of purpose shared by all staff. There have been measurable recent improvements in teaching and, as a result, some is now outstanding. The school has excellent procedures for quickly assessing students new to the school, so that they can be placed in classes that suit them. Some recent developments in the curriculum are having a positive impact on confidence, attendance and behaviour.”
