About Saxmundham Free School
Saxmundham Free School is a co-educational, non-selective secondary school for young people aged 11-16. Situated in Saxmundham, Suffolk, the school is funded by the government and run by the Seckford Foundation Free Schools Trust.
The Seckford Foundation Free Schools Trust was established by The Seckford Foundation in 2012 to help local communities in Suffolk set up and run free schools. Suffolk County Council handles the annual admissions process on behalf of Saxmundham Free School.

Saxmundham Free School seeks to ensure that every student achieves their potential. The secondary school has a culture of high academic, personal and social expectations and aspirations. Its ethos prioritises inclusion and provides pastoral care systems to ensure pupil needs are met.
The principles that drive delivery of the school’s vision centre on the provision of a broad and balanced curriculum, based on the traditional subject areas and complemented by a varied, daily enrichment programme. Personal Education Plans are provided for every student. High quality and regular training is given to all staff to assist in the delivery of inclusive learning.
