We serve a diverse community of families from a wide range of nationalities and ethnic backgrounds and differing socio-economic situations. We employ people from the local community which is a great way to invest in, and develop, local talent and to provide role models to whom our students can relate.

We also attract people from further afield; Wellingborough is an expanding area and with good transport links to London, the south east and midlands; we find that new employees have often relocated to the area.

Sir Christopher Hatton Academy is an 11–18 mixed, secondary school and sixth form in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The academy provides an education with character, encompassing their core values of Excellence, Aspiration, Achievement, Inspiration and Community to ensure that all their students are flourishing and prepared for the tests of life, not just a life of tests. Focused on the ‘whole child’, and with outstanding teaching, a dedicated pastoral team, creative character building curriculum and a wealth of extra-curricular offerings, trips and visits, the academy works to provide every student with the best opportunities to thrive.
