About St Joseph's Primary School
St Joseph’s Primary School is a co-educational Catholic primary school catering to students in Kindergarten to Year 6. Located in the foothills of the New South Wales Snowy Mountains, in the town of Adelong, the school currently has approximately 35 students enrolled.
First established in 1884, the school has a 125 year history as a Josephite school. St Joseph’s Adelong was the first school founded by the Sisters of St Joseph west of Goulburn.

The school grounds are adjoining to the Parish Church and the buildings are a combination of historical and modern structures. The school is well resourced, and classrooms are spacious and well equipped. The school has spacious grounds, including a large oval used for a range of sporting and recreational activities.
St Joseph’s Primary School provides a well-rounded curriculum to serve its infants and primary classes, with a strong emphasis on numeracy and literacy. The Key Learning Areas are English, Mathematics, Science, HSIE, PDHPE and Religious Education. Small class sizes enable teachers to dedicate time to familiarising themselves with the individual needs of each student.
