About St Peter's RC High School and Sixth Form Centre
St Peter's Roman Catholic High School and Sixth Form Centre is a mixed, Roman Catholic academy secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Tuffley, Gloucester and has approximately 1,600 pupils.
The school was established in 1964 and converted to academy status in 2011.
Values and Vision
St Peter's High School aims to provide a broad and rigorous Christian education in the environment of like-minded students. The whole ethos of the school is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the values of the Roman Catholic faith.
The development of dignity, respect and self-esteem of students and the community by means of focusing on each individual's worth as it would be seen in the eyes of God is the school's primary stated aim.
All pupils receive religious education lessons with all aspects of spirituality and Christian identity being reflected throughout the school. The school aims to create a happy and safe learning environment for all pupils by ensuring this Christian ethos underpins all its work.
