Values and vision

British values are important at Stoke High School, so teachers promote the rule of law, respect and democracy. The academy makes sure each student is kind towards their peers. Additional opportunities are provided for pupils no matter their background, in a partnership with the community as well as parents.

The secondary school aims to deliver a stimulating and enriching curriculum that inspires students to want to learn more. Staff aim to make sure all pupils have strong skills, including the ability to work as part of a team by negotiating, listening and leading.

Ofsted report

“The support from the Ormiston Academies Trust has been systematic and effective in challenging and supporting the school. The work of the newly established ‘progress board’ this year has been significant in galvanising staff to make essential improvements.  New leaders have taken action to improve the education of disadvantaged pupils. This work has reduced current gaps in achievement and improved these pupils’ attendance.”
