Strode College is a further education establishment for students aged 16 to 19, providing vocational qualifications, A-levels, and the new T-levels as well as providing degree-level qualifications. We are based in the town of Street, in Somerset and were labelled “outstanding” in the latest Ofsted report.

Strode College staff work hard to inspire all students to maximise their potential. We are ambitious and have high expectations for our students, staff and the College. Our staff are professional and conscientious and work with learners to enable them to achieve the very best results they are capable of. The College is friendly and inclusive and we have a clear focus on meeting the needs of our wider community. Our staff are genuine, honest and trusting, with a positive “can do” approach. We celebrate and recognise the success and achievements of our students.

“Students benefit significantly from outstanding teaching, learning and assessment which are reflected in outstanding outcomes. The high quality of teaching, alongside exceptionally strong pastoral and academic support, enables the vast majority of students to make excellent progress. Teachers and assessors have very high and realistic, expectations for all students, which lead to the high level of students’ achievement across the college.
Staff at the college provide a welcoming and safe environment for students in which they feel valued and respected; they enjoy life at the college and are proud of its history. The curriculum is well planned to meet the needs of students and the local economy.”
