Values and Vision
The school’s motto is PRIDE. This stands for personal excellence, respect and friendship, inspiration, determination and courage, equality. Being a part of the community and cooperating with parents is viewed as important. No matter what background each child comes from, the school aims to help them reach their full potential. The academy hopes to mould the pupils into caring, young adults.
“School leaders have adopted a range of strategies to encourage positive pupil attitudes, which are starting to have an impact. For example, transition between primary and secondary, and secondary and post-16, is managed very well. Parent View, agreed that their children felt safe and were well looked after. Pupils confirm that they understand how to protect themselves and use social media safely. Pupils say that they feel safe and know where to go and who to go to, if they need support. Healthy living is encouraged. The school has an anti-bullying policy and pupils are aware of different forms of bullying.”
