Location: Drake Primary Academy, 1 Johnston Terrace Ope, Plymouth, PL2 2EN

FTE Salary Range: MPS 1-6, £25,714 - £36,961

Contract Type: Fixed Term (1 year) until 31st August 2023, full time; term-time.

Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday


About the role

We require an enthusiastic, innovative Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our vibrant team in September 2022. The post is to cover the sabbatical year of a teacher until their planned return in 2023.

We are looking for candidates who have a passion and desire to accelerate the progress and raise the achievement of all our children. You must have key stage 2 experience and the ability to inspire and challenge our children in order to fulfil their potentials.

Drake Primary is a successful, highly regarded single form entry primary academy with a PAN of 210. The academy was built in the 1950s but it has been modernised in recent years. The academy is very popular and often oversubscribed for the September foundation intake. The Academy was inspected in July 2015 and received a good grade overall. Behaviour and safety were areas of particular strength and this reflects the strong emphasis placed on the children’s social and emotional development in our calm, caring environment.
