Location: Morice Town Primary Academy, Charlotte Street, Plymouth, PL2 1RJ

FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade E, Pt 15 – 20, £23, 953 - £26,446 per annum; pro rata for part time contract

Contract Type: Permanent, part time; term-time.

Contract Hours: 27.25 hours per week; Monday to Friday


About the role

We are seeking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team enthusiastic of professionals. The successful candidate provides leadership release time to teachers and short-term sickness absence cover as well as running intervention and booster groups. We will be looking to work with the successful candidate to create an individual role that meets the needs of the children and the school whilst making the most of their individual strengths and skills.


About the successful candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Have experience of working as a HLTA in primary schools.
  • Be committed to providing the best educational opportunities and outcomes for all of our children
  • Be a positive role model who inspires and motivates children.


About the School

Morice Town Primary Academy is a popular and successful school within the local and wider area. The children are aged 4 - 11 years old and we have a single form entry. Our children feel safe, cared for and well looked after. We have a strong bond with our parents as well as the community as a whole.
