Hill View Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Midday Supervisor with Hot School Meal responsibilities to join the School in January 2023.

Post: Midday Supervisor with hot school meal responsibilities 

Location: Hill View Primary, Hill View Road, Bournemouth, BH10 5BD

FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade 2, Point 2 -4, £20,441 - £21,189 per annum, pro-rata

Actual Annual Salary: £5,507.11 - £5,708.63 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, part time; term-time (39 weeks per year)

Contract Hours: 11.25 hours per week; Monday to Friday. 2.25 hours per day, 11:30 – 13:45.

About the role

We are looking for caring and committed person to join our support staff at Hill View Primary, you’ll be working in a team of like-minded individuals who all want the best for the school. You’ll be supervising lunchtimes, ensuring the children are safe and sensible while eating and playing. Keeping and maintaining a clean and hygienic area while the children eat. You will also be responsible for setting up, clearing up and serving hot school meals. Experience of working in a childcare environment and being able to cope under pressure is essential.

About the successful candidate

We are looking for people who have the following experience and qualities:

  • Treat pupil’s with dignity, building relationships with mutual respect
  • Relevant experience of working with children, ability to motivate, using positive behaviour strategies
  • Have the ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Be able to display effective communication skills with both children and adults
  • Be eager to work collaboratively in a wider team, be adaptable and open to new ideas and practices
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are upheld
  • Able to deal with change and unpredictability positively with a “can do” attitude.
  • Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths
  • Level 2 Food Safety in Catering Qualification desirable
