Location: Parkfield Academy, Hurn, Christchurch, BH23 6DF
FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade 5, Point 10 – 15, £23,620 rising to a maximum of £25,878, pro-rata per annum
Actual Annual Salary: £18,383.68 - £20,141.10 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) until 31st July 2023, part time; term-time (39 weeks per year).
Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

We are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to provide lesson cover. This includes doing the register, providing work set by the teacher and ensuring continuity for students until the usual class teacher returns.
About the successful candidate
The role requires that objective and accurate feedback is given and the behaviour policy of the school is adopted during cover sessions. Holding a HLTA qualification is advantageous, but not essential. We are looking for some of the following qualities and experience:
- Experience of working with classes or large groups of pupils
- Experience of working in a secondary and/or primary school
- Good standard of English & Mathematics at Grade 4 or above
- Ability to apply good behaviour management strategies in the classroom
- Patience and resilience
- Awareness of child protection and bullying issues
