Post: Payroll Coordinator

Location: Plymouth Based (hybrid delivery model of home and site based according to business requirements)

Salary Range: NJC Grade E £25,878 rising to a maximum of £28,371 per annum 

Hours/Contract: Permanent. Full time. 

Weeks per Year: 52.14 working weeks per year

For this role we are open to discussing flexible working with the possibility of reduced hours, job share, compressed hours, staggered hours or working from home. 

Role Profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our rapidly developing Multi Academy Trust for a talented Payroll Coordinator to join our team.

Our Payroll and Pensions Team is responsible for delivering a quality, responsive and professional service to the Trust within a busy and at times pressurised working environment. As the Payroll Coordinator, you will report directly to the Head of People and support the People Team service delivery by ensuring all employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner, as well as managing the day-to-day queries and general administration associated with payroll.

About the successful candidate

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a busy team within an organisation of more than 500+ employees and will have the ability to build effective working relationships and a willingness to collaborate.

You will be someone who feels an affinity with our values and our vision seeking a core purpose of delivering for our students and communities. Other skills, knowledge and experience we look for include:

·        Someone who has a strong administrative background; preferably in a HR, Payroll or Finance team however applicants that have a proven record in administration and want to take their career into a more specialised area will be considered.

·        Someone who is customer focused, understanding how to set and exceed expectations in relation to a range of queries and data entry.

·        Has demonstrable experience in resolving problems, accuracy in data entry with a good attention to detail.

·        Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with and build effective relationships using both written and verbal communication, you will be able to support arrange of queries from staff.

·        Previous experience of working within Education would be advantageous, however it is not essential to be successful in this role; experience of working within a busy team (at volume) is essential.
