North Ridge is a specialist support school for pupils with persistent and complex special educational needs, aged 11-19 years. We opened in September 2006. We are an outstanding school (Ofsted 2014) (March 2018) We are based on 2 sites- Higher Blackley Education Village and the Abraham Moss Campus.

(Qualified Teacher) Assistant Head Teacher lead for Key Stage 4 (L9-12)

Required for September 23 (start date negotiable)

The Governors seek to appoint a dynamic, hard working individual who will live up to our school motto of “do your best”. The suitable candidate to this post will be able to teach pupils with a range of learning disability and associated needs. You will be able to teach  several areas of the curriculum and be responsible for the leadership of Key Stage 4. We would welcome applications from teachers who have been trained to teach in primary schools as well as secondary. You will have a good knowledge of the curriculum for Key Stage 4 learners and at least 2 years of experience as a teacher of SEN pupils. You  will be supported by a strong experienced team. You will benefit from opportunities to engage in an excellent staff development and training programme.  The successful applicant will benefit from working in a school with a positive, caring, ethos where team work is important.

The Governors of the school are committed to safeguarding pupils in the school and this post will require DBS clearance.
