Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring SENCo to join our team at Highfield Preparatory School, part of the Chatsworth Schools group. The successful candidate will be someone who can create and deliver effective strategies that enable SEN pupils across the school to achieve their potential. 

 You will be an inspiring and outstanding classroom practitioner who is passionate about encouraging all children to achieve success. You will be committed to working in partnership with staff, parents and the community to promote excellent learning opportunities for all. 

Experience and enthusiasm for working with children with SEN across EYFS - Upper Key Stage 2 is essential and in return, you will be joining a strong, happy and talented team of staff. The role is not class-based, enabling the post-holder to lead and support interventions for pupils across our small school.

About Highfield School for Girls

Highfield School for Girls is an independent, non-denominational school in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The school was founded on its current site in 1918, and became part of the Chatsworth Schools group in 2019. There are approximately 120 children on the school roll at Highfield. Girls are taught between the ages of 2-11, with recent co-ed provision for boys aged 2-7, following many years of co-education in EYFS.
