0.4 Teaching Assistant Ripley Area

A primary school in the Ripley area of Derbyshire is looking for a Teaching Assistant on a 0.4 basis. They ask that any candidate has at least a level 3 NVQ/CACHE and recent, referenceable experience in a similar position. The role will consist of providing learning support and 1:1 assistance to a Year 4 class of mixed ability. The school is currently undergoing a transition toward modernising both its site and its teaching capabilities.]

The school want someone who is able to commit themselves to the education of the children in their care and draw upon their past experience to assist the transition. Overall a successful candidate will have a strong CV with an appropriate amount of Teaching Assistant experience and a proven track record for strong behaviour management. The school is equally accessible to those in the north of Derbyshire as well as from Derby city.

This role is only 2 days per week, however it could vary as a single day and two afternoons split across the week, dependent on the needs of the class teacher. This role will be ideal for anyone looking to supplement other part time work or who is looking for a more flexible timetable to fit around their own needs.

Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
