Nelson and Colne College Group is a beacon for educational excellence, made up of a family of colleges – Nelson & Colne College, Lancashire Adult Learning & Accrington & Rossendale College. We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Beauty Therapy Lecturer to join our Hair & Beauty team on a part-time, permanent basis working 17.5 hours per week.

Main duties include:

• Teaching within the Hair & Beauty team on a range of programmes,
        delivering effective learning for students 

• Plan and prepare high quality teaching and learning

• Develop and share resources for the course/subject

• Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities

• Complete required assessment duties in relation to student
       assignments

• Maintain comprehensive, up to date, records and provide information
      as requested using College systems to track and communicate
      student progress

The ideal candidate will have:

• Level 3 qualification in relevant subject (Beauty) 

• Recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve this
       within three years of appointment

• Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional
      qualification (highly desirable) 

• Successful teaching experience in relevant subject area (Beauty
      Therapy)

• Recent commercial/industrial experience

About Nelson and Colne College

Nelson and Colne College, located in the town of Nelson, Lancashire, offers further education to 1,600 full-time students and 3,500 part-time adults. The college was founded during the reorganisation of education in Pendle in the early 1970s and created by the merger of several local sixth forms. 

Recent investments have included a £2m engineering facility, an all-weather sports pitch and gym, fully equipped science laboratories, and student study and social spaces. In January 2017, Nelson and Colne College launched a university centre to offer a range of higher education programmes in East Lancashire and beyond.
