A school in the Heanor area is currently in need of a teacher to cover a key stage 1 class on a 0.6 basis, as part of a job share with a member of the senior leadership team. The school are looking for someone with recent experience in a similar role in a primary school, as they need someone who will be able to integrate quickly into the new class and setting. The teacher they are looking for will demonstrate good behaviour management as well as having a polished and diverse knowledge of the curriculum. As the role is on a temporary part-time basis it would suit someone looking for a bit of work to supplement themselves, or I would be able to find supply work for the other 2 days per week if the candidate is looking for a full 5 days.
The school itself is in a great location in terms of transport links with both bus stops and the a38 nearby, meaning it’s accessible for people who live in Derby and the surrounding areas. Even though this is a job share you will be still allocated the same amount of resources as a full time member of staff, including a car parking space and a teaching assistant. As the other member of staff is a part of the senior leadership team, they will be on hand to assist with your integration into the school and the new class.
The role is due to start in September 2018 and continue until the Christmas holidays, however the school will be looking to either extend the contract or bring the right candidate on as a full member of staff come January.
