As the ‘Further Education College of the year 2019’, we are looking for an outstanding, innovative and inspirational experienced lecturer who will be part of the engineering team to build upon the achievements and strengths of the college and share their outstanding teaching knowledge to further raise the standards and reputation of the college.

We have a very successful and expanding Engineering Department and are looking to for an enthusiastic and talented individual. Not only are we expanding our provision within the traditional engineering subjects such as 3D printing, machining, milling, Electronics, Design, CNC and CAD.

This role could be your opportunity to create and deliver a unique engineering unit within the BTEC programs offered. In addition, you will need to be able to teach other engineering disciplines that you are comfortable with. It is a real opportunity for you to inspire leaners and prepare them for Higher Education or employment having been provided with the skills and technical knowledge you will bring with you.

You will be Qualified Engineer or Lecturer looking to enhance and develop your career at a forward thinking, enthusiastic and vibrant college. Sandwell College delivers Engineering courses and apprenticeship standards and teaching staff are actively encouraged to progress internally.

 It has two state of the art campuses in West Bromwich accessible through excellent transport links and, following a successful merger with Cadbury Sixth Form College, has an exciting presence in Birmingham.  

The majority of the College’s full-time students are aged 16-18, studying courses designed to give them skills for the modern workplace in a learning environment fully equipped with a specialist automotive centre, beauty and hairdressing salons, computer suites, construction workshops, engineering and science laboratories, fashion and photography studios, a sports hall and a 170-seater theatre.
