Lecturer in Media

The School of Creative Industries is situated in a purpose-built building on the Aireville Campus of Craven College. It offers a wide range of full and part-time courses in Art and Design, Fashion, Media Make-Up, Media and Journalism and Performing Arts, from Entry Level to Level 6.  

The School provides a dynamic and stimulating environment for students and staff and has high expectations of both, in terms of academic success.   The Media area delivers BTEC Level 3 Extended Diplomas in Creative Media Production, BTEC Level 1 and 2 Diplomas, as well as A Level Media Studies. There are dedicated studios for sound, video, TV and performance with industry standard equipment and software.  

Continuing Professional Development is actively encouraged in the School and many lecturers, both full and part-time are active practitioners in their respective fields.  Learning has a strong vocational context and students benefit from specialist work experience, taught professional units and other work related learning opportunities during their studies.

This post is temorary to cover Maternity Leave for a fixed term period from September 2017 - May 2018, or the return of the post holder, whichever is the sooner.

26 hours per week (average 17 hours per week, 605 hours per annum teaching contact)
