The role Entails:
· Leading the whole class
· Working 4 days per week
· Planning and marking
· Attending parent’ evenings and staff meetings
· Co-ordinating with the Teaching assistants in the school
About the school:
The school is a small independent school in the north west of Derby, they are currently looking for a year 2 teacher to temporarily cover a sickness absence within their faculty. The school is easily accessible for any of those in Derbyshire as has access to the a38 and is outside of the city so traffic is easy to avoid. It is a very prestigious school locally and feeds into some of the top secondary schools in the midlands. Due to this there is a focus on academia within their ethos and the success of the pupils is key to maintaining their reputation.
The teacher who suits this role will be one whose ethos match up with that of the school and has a clear track record of delivering the SATs curriculum at year 2 level in recent years. The Senior leadership team of the school are intending to hold interviews as soon as suitable group of candidates is found and then to shortlist from there for a trial day in September.

Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
