 0.8 Secondary (KS3 and KS4) English and Drama Teacher:

Introduction:

We are looking for a creative and adaptable English and Drama Teacher to join our versatile teaching team at Oxford Montessori Schools Ltd - based at our Forest Farm site in Elsfield - on the outskirts of Oxford.

We are a small teaching team who are all highly supportive of each other. Good relationships are the key to our success and we invest heavily in our pastoral care which was recognised as excellent in our most recent ISI Inspection (Feb 2020). You will have freedom to work creatively, developing your own interests and strengths, responding to the children in your care.

Through our Montessori ethos, we look at the whole child and equate personal wellbeing with academic achievement. We are proudly not academically selective, encourage individuality and recognise the multitude of ways pupils and teachers can contribute to our school community.

Role:

Drama:

3 x classes of KS3, plus Trinity Arts Silver (GCSE equivalent)

Individual and paired LAMDA lessons

Annual informal multi-arts school performance/s

English:

Responsibility for Year 8 class English

Working with English Teachers and Teaching Assistants to teach small classes and breakaway groups from Year 7 - 11

Creating and devising bespoke programmes of study adapted to pupil needs

Supporting GCSE English Language and/or Functional Skills exam preparation

Liaising with colleagues to offer cross curricular learning opportunities where appropriate.
