Swanbourne House is a friendly, family orientated preparatory school with strong boarding, positioned in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate 1-1 Learning Support Assistant to work in this inspiring school. The aim of the school is to provide an excellent all-round education that brings out the best in each pupil according to their abilities and talents. We enthuse pupils with an exciting and tailored, all-round education, which encourages them to think for themselves enabling them to realise their potential.
Children come to us from the surrounding area and some from further afield. We prepare our children for entry into leading independent senior schools including Oundle, Uppingham, Rugby, Stowe, Marlborough, Berkhamsted, Harrow and Bedford in recent years.
The Pre-Prep includes a Nursery, from the age of rising threes, to the end of KS1 and is set within the grounds of the school.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will work on a one to one basis with a Nursery aged child, term time only within our Pre-Prep although some other general assistance may be required. They will show willingness to attend various training courses to widen their knowledge in regards to SEN. An NVQ L3 qualification would be an advantage, however not essential.
The right person will have a good sense of humour, be resilient and able to take initiative and have the ability to make resources where necessary to help the pupil.
