Job overview
We are looking to appoint a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for KS2, from 30/10/2017. Initially on a temporary contract.
The post is for 5 days per week term time only. (29.75 hours)
A keen interest and understanding of autism would be desirable but not essential. Comprehensive training and support will be provided for the right person.
We require a committed individual to join our superb learning support team. Initiative, enthusiasm and an ability to be flexible are essential. Sense of humour imperative!

About Hayes School
Hayes Primary School is a happy, thriving school in the seaside town of Paignton.
There are 455 children on roll including part time nursery children. The children are mixed ability with two classes per year group. The school has been fully refurbished over the past years and now boasts a nursery, early years and main school building. There is a large playing field, several playgrounds and a happy school community to fill them all!
Hayes School is the only school in Great Britain to teach all children to play steel drums and marimbas. We participate in South Devon Music Proms and Music for Youth competitions where we have been privileged to perform in the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.
The school has a stable, loyal staff including full time posts in Business Management, Financial Management, Pastoral Support, and Music and Drama.
Hayes School is situated approximately one mile from the town centre opposite a natural woodland and within a pleasant residential area.
