New Marston Primary School is a mixed community school for 4-11 year olds in Headington, Oxford. In February 2017, we converted to an academy under the River Learning Trust. Exciting times are ahead for the school; teachers and leadership teams across the Trust work closely to support and challenge each other and there is strong collaboration and mutual support which benefits all our schools. We are committed to ensuring that the school continues to improve rapidly and provides the best possible education for our children.

New Marston is committed to providing an exciting and safe environment where everyone feels valued, loves learning and develops the skills to learn for life.

We aim to provide a curriculum that is appropriate to the needs and abilities of all our children. We plan our teaching and learning in such a way that we enable each child to reach for the highest level of personal achievement. This policy helps to ensure that we recognise and support the needs of those children in our school who have been identified as More Able.

Working for us

You’ll be joining an extremely friendly, well-motivated and enthusiastic staff determined to make our school officially outstanding as soon as possible. New Marston is a Values School and we can also train our teaching assistants with degrees to become Teachers through the School Direct route.

We can offer you:

  • A positive staff culture with extremely high expectations of work and behaviour
  • Well-behaved children
  • A well-functioning leadership team who views professional development as a priority
  • A friendly and well-motivated staff and an inclusive community in which you can flourish
  • The opportunity to continue your career working alongside fabulous teachers and teaching assistants.
