Downham Feoffees are looking for a creative and flexible Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil. A sound knowledge and understanding of the Curriculum is required, plus experience of working with children with SEND is essential. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and skills to support a child with additional needs.
We are looking for a proactive, child-focused Teaching Assistant to work with a child who has an Education Health and Care Plan. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience with PECS or Makaton, but training can be given. You will work within a team and will be well-supported by the class teacher and SENDCo.
This is a named contract post for 15 hours per week, term time only at point Grade 2, point 5-6, depending on experience. We would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
