Temporary contract Starting: January 2019 Ending:End February 2019

 Salary:  Scale point 10 - 14 (pro-rata for 39 weeks) 30 hours per week

English, Linguistics, Psychology or Speech & Language Therapy Graduate required to support a pupil with Down syndrome and associated communication difficulties – 

  • Are you an English, Linguistics, Psychology or even a Speech and Language  Therapy graduate?

 • Do you have the academic knowledge to effectively support pupils with  communication difficulties as a teaching assistant? 

• Could you see yourself working as a Teaching Assistant supporting a  Year 1 pupil with Down syndrome and speech and language disorder?

This varied and rewarding post will allow you to understand the applications of your academic knowledge, and to work alongside a specialist speech and language therapist.  

The school would like to appoint a graduate Teaching Assistant who has previously worked with children who have SEN, and has an ability to nurture this age group. Your duties will include leading 1:1 sessions with a high level of support and training from a specialist speech and language therapist.
