This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference to young people’s futures.

In this role, working with other Guidance and Support Tutors and teaching staff you will ensure that A level students are monitored, challenged and supported to achieve their potential, and that appropriate actions are in place for individuals. You will work to raise student aspirations and support their career planning including university applications, and will contribute to the delivery of the college Personal development Programme.

The Progress Tutor has a unique role in Selby College.  Our students take different subjects often in different departments and this role coordinates across those subjects and departments to ensure the aspirations of the A Level students are maintained at a high level.

The Progess Tutor is fundamental in ensuring the students develop the ethos and approach to study that goes with this high aspiration.  They are responsible for overseeing the A Level students and ensuring they are aspirational in their approach to study and achievement.

This is a 37 hour a week / 40 week per year role.
