A Level Teacher of Sociology
Required to start from Easter 2018 or September by arrangement
A rare and remarkable opportunity that will change your career. Working as part of The GORSE Academies Trust, Elliott Hudson College will ensure that students receive an outstanding academic education that focuses on high expectations, challenge and rigour. Together these non-negotiable values will instil in young people a self-belief that enables students to access the highest standard of higher educational provision and employment.
Through this approach Elliott Hudson College will be a catalyst for social change, transforming opportunities for the young people in the communities it serves. We are determined through the establishment of this free school, to ensure that poverty and deprivation should in no way limit either the quality of a young person’s educational experience or the levels of achievement to which those students are able to rise.
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, passionate teacher of Sociology to join Elliott Hudson College at the start of its academic journey, ensuring that it becomes a truly outstanding establishment. Our standards and expectations are high and we expect our new staff to lead our continuing drive for excellence in the classroom.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who are keen to be at the centre of our organisational change. 2013 – 2014 was an exceptional academic year for The GORSE Academies Trust with both The Morley Academy and The Farnley Academy rated as Outstanding in all categories in their inspections. In 2017 the Ruth Gorse Academy was also graded as Outstanding and we are determined to see Elliott Hudson College achieve the same.
Elliott Hudson College is a 16-19, co-educational college which opened in 2015 and now has a student population of 900 Year 12 and 13 ‘A’ Level students. The college is housed in brand new, state-of-the-art accommodation at The White Rose Office Park, Millshaw Park Lane, Leeds, LS11 0LT.
