Job Title: ABA Tutor with Medical Experience

Salary: NHS Band 3-5 depending on experience and qualifications (pro-rata for term-time only)

Line Manager: Headteacher, Head Behaviour Analyst, ABA Supervisor and Governors

Hours of work: Term Time Only 8.30 to 4.30pm with 30 minutes of break (some flexibility expected depending on critical school need); There is potential for a part-time role.

Forest Bridge School is a new all-age Special Free School (4-16) for children with autism which opened in September 2015 in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. The aim of the school is to provide a suitable environment with a high level of therapeutic support and excellent teaching to allow pupils with autism to achieve their full potential and to make the most of their intelligence, focus and skills. Forest Bridge School will help each pupil that leaves the school to progress into training, employment or further education. 

The aim is for Forest Bridge School to be an outstanding provision for children and young people with autism, which has a rooting in ABA and with each individual pupil’s potential at the heart. 

As a member of a class team you will need to:

· provide excellent ABA teaching to children and young people with autism and associated learning difficulties.  

· provide a high standard of nursing care and support for a child with complex health/nursing needs at school and within the home environment when appropriate. 

· support the Class teacher and ABA Supervisors in ensuring the daily needs of our pupils are met in a professional, competent, safe and fun school environment.

The successful applicant will:

· Have experience of working with children who have complex epilepsy

Forest Bridge School (FBS) is a new school for children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder which opened in September 2015.  Offering a personalised curriculum with ABA methodologies we are a unique setting for advanced and early learners, alike.
