Academic Coach

Salary: UCL Academy Scale S05 Spine Point 12-15, (£26,544-£28,003). Actual salary: £23,060.42 - £24,328.02 term time only

Contract Type: Full Time or Part time (Term Time only). Fixed until 31 August 2022 in the first instance with the possibility of extension.

Location:          Swiss Cottage, London Borough of Camden, NW3 3AQ

Start Date:        As soon as possible, depending on notice period

The position supports students’ with their academic development and progress, creating appropriate resources and strategies to coach students and work with underachieving students in the subject. The main aim is supporting the students’ action plans and overcoming barriers to their academic learning.

We are looking for Academic Coaches in the following subjects:

• English;

• History;

• Geography;

• Modern Languages (Spanish, Mandarin & German).

What we Want

• To coach and support students consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual academic needs;

• To work with individuals and small groups with a dynamic intervention approach;

• To work with teaching staff in the development of appropriate resources for use in individual/group sessions to support the learning of targeted students;

• To develop timetables and action plans for the targeted students;

• To communicate with parents/carers (where applicable) and staff regarding students’ work and progress.
