GRADE: Band D SCP 9 - 17      

SALARY: £20,160 - £23,437 per annum

HOURS: 37 Hours – Term Time Only

Fixed term until August 2023

We are looking for an Academic Coach of Science.

We are seeking a candidate who has a strong foundation in Biology, Chemistry and Physics and is able to work with and motivate small groups of students to master concepts and make progress. This may involve carrying out simple experiments with groups (all guidance and training provided).

Key Responsibilities:

• To work collaboratively with academic staff to increase student attendance and attainment.
• Work one-to-one or with small groups within the Science department.
• Work with teachers to support individual students to agree targets and action plans to improve the rate of progress being made in students’ learning in Science.
• Support students consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs.
