Academy Finance Officer (non-teaching role)

Thank you for your interest in the post of Academy Finance Officer at Lord Lawson of Beamish Academy.

As Finance Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Academy Business Manager with the provision and maintenance of Lord Lawson of Beamish Academy’s financial and accounting services. This will include the preparation of budgets, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliation, managing our financial administration, monitoring expenditure, payments process and payroll monitoring.

To be considered for this role you will need a suitable accountancy/financial qualification, such as AAT or equivalent, with a good understanding of accounting software (currently Agresso) and experience of financial analysis and reporting. You will also need the ability to use, monitor and maintain systems for effective budget management as well as the ability to analyse and present financial information.

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.
