35hrs per week term time only (8.30am – 4.00pm)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a School First Aider. Key functions will be the management, development and provision of day to day First Aid to the whole school as required.
The successful candidate will need to be a qualified First Aider (Full First Aid at Work trained) with experience of providing first aid, ideally, but not essentially within a school setting. They must be able to follow all procedures for recording and reporting all accidents/incidents and be able to administer medication as required and order/control stocks and supplies accordingly. This role will be responsible for monitoring all first aiders within the school and ensuring that they receive sufficient refresher training in a timely manner as necessary.
The ideal applicant must be approachable, confident and able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils and other external agencies as required. Experience of using Microsoft Office, especially excel, word and outlook is essential and it would be helpful if you are have experience of using SIMS. You will need to have excellent administration skills and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a busy environment. Applicants must be able to work professionally with confidential data, have a good business ethic and be willing to take further training as required.
