Job overview

Job description

We are developing new Technical Hubs for selected vocational areas in Creative Industries, Digital Skills and Hospitality and they will become the focal point of establishing a centre for excellence and developing London wide connections for employers and learners. Our Hub Managers are the key connection between all the organisations helping develop the workforce, local economy and to provide the pipelines from training to employment for London residents. The basis to the success of this role is to;

  • Ensure employers’ skills requirements are communicated to partner training providers, and technical skills training opportunities are communicated to employers;
  • Enable employer-led curriculum design and ensure work placements, apprenticeship and employment opportunities are shared across the collaborating Hub partners;
  • Provide employment support between our learners, partner training providers and employers;
  • Arrange additional pre-employability or learning support to Londoners, ensuring they are guided towards new training and employment opportunities.

This role includes engaging and creating links with internal and external stakeholders who will include local authority councils, other training providers, industry associations and employers. The post will manage the delivery of new courses and training and identify programmes that will help to reduce the skills shortages in industry, identified by employers.

One of the key roles is to improve the links between industry, the local borough councils and the training providers so there can be a steady pipeline of opportunities for local residents for apprenticeships in industry.

The post holder will be required to produce reports to highlight data and the development of the Hub for our partners. Being able to host and arrange events, assist with creating steering groups and to effectively communicate with all stakeholders on a regular basis is crucial to the success of this Technical Hub.

Communication at all levels is a prerequisite as well as keeping up to date on new policies and procedures in the relevant industry. Establishing enduring relationships with partners to the Technical Hub and to the benefit of our learners at CCCG.
