We are the first all-through academy in Somerset, with children from EYFS to Year 11. 

Working across the entire age range, this vacancy will provide the successful post-holder with an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in improving the educational outcomes of all our children and young people. This unique role will enable you to have demonstrable and positive impact on the learning culture, ensuring all our pupils become independent, effective and enthusiastic life-long learners. 

As a member of the academy’s senior leadership team you will operate strategically to raise standards of teaching, learning and curriculum across the whole academy. 

This role is suitable for both primary and secondary practitioners

Bridgwater College Academy is the only all-through mainstream Academy in Somerset and opened in 2012.  Student numbers are divided equally between Primary and Secondary phases; we also have a nursery provision too. The Academy was the first sponsored Academy within the Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust, which now hosts seven Academies and is itself set to continue to expand in the future.
