Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a part-time, term-time Food Technician at Kirk Hallam Community Academy to help ensure food technology lessons run smoothly and efficiently.

The Food Technician will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of lessons through practical, administrative and classroom support. This will involve preparing and clearing away materials and equipment, assisting teaching staff with practical lessons, arranging for maintenance and monitoring stock and equipment, whilst adhering to the highest food and health and safety standards.

Our motto ‘Work Hard, Be Kind’ underpins everything that we do and reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence. Great education transforms lives, and we have absolute conviction that great education is about striking a balance between an unashamedly ambitious curriculum and character development.

Our 2022 A level students achieved a 100% pass rate with 32% of all entries awarded A*-A. GCSE outcomes represent a step forward in terms of progress with a P8 score of +0.01, which compares to -0.8 in 2019. We look forward to developing our teaching team to build on these achievements during the next academic year and beyond.
