About the role:

We are looking for an Inspirational and innovative lecturer to foster personal development through learning. As part of this, we are now looking to recruit an outstanding, inspirational and student focused AAT & Payroll teachers to deliver high quality learning and teaching.

About you: 

You will have good skills and knowledge of teaching AAT & Payroll and an established track record of achieving good results. You will desirably already have a teaching qualification and will plan and deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment to meet the needs of all our students on our accounting and finance programmes. You will have the ability to motivate your students to make good progress in this subject area, successfully complete their qualification and see them move into higher levels of study or into relevant employment. IT, Maths & English will be embedded into your teaching methodology to cement these key areas into students’ learning.

You will use a range of learning and teaching strategies and develop methods using technology that will encourage independent learning. Through the use of challenging individual targets and learning plans, you will be required to ensure that your student achievement is maximised. You will also work collaboratively and proactively with managers and colleagues across the College Group to design, develop, manage and review programmes in the faculty in light of stakeholder feedback.

The Centre for Lifelong Learning at Finsbury Park is an Adult Education Centre, delivering basic skills, access and professional courses to 5000 adults and 200 16-18 year olds.

City and Islington College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, further education college, situated in the London borough of Islington. Students learn in one of five centres, each focused on courses and qualifications within a particular specialism. The college, which was opened in 1993, offers courses at entry level, levels 1, 2 and 3 and apprenticeships to more than 12,500 students, and works with over 200 employers. It provides 16 to 19 study programmes across all subject areas for around 4,200 students, and the largest areas are arts, media, publishing, science, health, public services and care.
