Job description:

We are looking for an efficient administrator responsible for accounts for a busy nursery and primary school. You will be managing the day-to-day accounts using QuickBooks for The Gower School’s three Islington sites – Nursery sites at North Road, and Primary site at Cynthia Street. You would be based at our North Road, N7 site. 

Responsibilities: 

·         Paying bills.

·         Preparing Direct Debits.

·         Managing the collection of school fees.

·         Additional fees, i.e. Music and LAMDA lessons.

·         Preparing payroll using SAGE.

 

Additional duties include:

• Assisting the Principal or senior school leaders with finance and HR related administrative tasks whenever requested.

• Telephone and email correspondence.

 

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week – the school is open from 8 am to 6 pm, 48 weeks of the year and staff work within a shift system. This is a permanent position.

Person specification:

 Our ideal candidate will be organised and flexible and will have excellent administration, communication and writing skills. Experience in school finance is highly desirable. You may also have experience working in an educational setting. You will have great attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team. Working within busy and dynamic educational settings, you will be able to interact with parents, pupils and visitors in a polite and helpful manner. You will be educated to A-Level, with GCSE passes in English and Maths (essential) or hold a degree (highly desirable).
