Job overview

Achievement College Leader/SENCo     L15 to L19

Required from September 2018 or sooner

Tudor Grange Samworth Academy (TGSA) is a rapidly improving school.  The school is a member of the Tudor Grange Academies Trust and so all staff work in a very collaborative network of practitioners dedicated to providing the best education possible for our students.  We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated and visionary SENCo to become part of our senior leadership team at TGSA. You will be part of a forward-thinking leadership team at the school.

Importantly, you will be supported by the Trust Executive Lead, who is an experienced SENCo, and other SENCo leads across the Trust.  The successful candidate will oversee SEND provision across the school, have a strategic input at senior leadership level and ensure SEND has a high profile amongst staff. An ability to establish good working relationships and a consistent team approach is essential to ensure a clear vision and direction. Previous experience of effectively leading/motivating students and staff and developing team approaches is essential.

An accredited SENCo or a candidate with extensive relevant experience is desirable.  We are a mixed ‘all through school’ for children aged 3-16, located on the south side of Leicester city. We are committed to providing the best education possible for our students and are keen to attract quality teachers for our appreciative learners.

Our students are proud of our Academy and are excited to welcome committed teachers to join us. The successful candidate will have a passion for education and making a real difference to the lives of our students. All subject specialisms are welcome to apply.    The chosen candidate will benefit from:

  • Outstanding career progression opportunities as the Trust expands

 • Working with a fantastic team of staff dedicated to improving the lives of children

 • Clear leadership within the academy focused upon outstanding teaching and learning

If you feel that you have these attributes and skills and are a suitably qualified and highly motivated professional then we would like to hear from you.

Informal visits and conversations about the post are most welcome.
