Eastlea Community School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher and Achievement Leader, starting in the Summer 2024 term. The successful candidate will be committed to improving the best outcomes for their students.
At Eastlea there is a team of five Achievement Leaders who are teaching members of staff. They are middle leaders who each take responsibility for the attainment outcomes and progress of a specific year group. Achievement Leaders oversee a team of tutors for their year group as well as the line management of a non-teaching Pastoral Manager who will ensure pastoral support and care along with high standards of behaviour. The successful candidate will have high expectations of students in their learning and conduct and will themselves, have high standards of professionalism as a key middle leader.
We would particularly welcome applications from teachers of Geography & RE.

Train with us - we are delighted to partner with Teach First to deliver our School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme. Teach First is a national charity that develops and supports teachers and leaders who are determined to make a difference where it is needed the most. As a training partner, we will be working with Teach First to deliver this one year teacher training programme, which enables participants to train and develop skills in the classroom. It is ideal for people who are eager to learn on the job and make a difference in their community from day one.
