An enthusiastic and inspirational Head of Department, qualified and experienced in teaching English from Years 5 to 8, is required to join an excellent team of subject specialists at our South London school.
Willington Prep is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Acting Head of English who will be expected to provide the very best academic teaching and learning opportunities for both their classes and in their oversight of their subject in Reception classes to Year 8. It is anticipated that this will be a part time post (0.8 equivalent) amounting to four days of teaching; encompassing a responsibility for managing a small but dynamic team. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach English from Years 5 to Year 8, or alternatively will have a background in teaching the subject to Secondary standard. An awareness of the demands of 11+, CE and Scholarship would also be desirable.
