Acting Head of MFL

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced linguist to join our vibrant and thriving MFL Department as Acting Head of MFL. 

This role is to cover maternity leave from April 2020 until either the end of the Autumn Term 2020 or the end of the Spring Term 2021.

You should be experienced at teaching Spanish across Key Stages 2-3 and preferably also have some experience of teaching Key Stage 2 French. 

The successful candidate will:

• show real passion for teaching languages

• be able to demonstrate a talent for motivating and enthusing young learners to achieve their best

• have excellent planning and preparation skills

• have the ability to problem-solve and manage classroom behaviour effectively

• be resilient under pressure

• show a strong commitment to promoting the well-being of pupils

• work collaboratively with colleagues

The ability to also coach games, as well as contribute to our exciting extra-curricular provision, would be an advantage.
