About The New School

The New School Exeter is an independent pre-preparatory school for girls and boys aged 3-7 years. Our aim is to prepare our children for the next step in their educational lives, providing a caring, nurturing, instructive and, of course, fun environment in which our children learn to thrive. A former Victorian chapel, it is located on a private, wide, tree-lined avenue set in an acre of ground with its own tennis court and garden. It is located only three miles from central Exeter and provides an oasis of calm from the bustle of city life.

In March 2021, The New School became part of the Exeter School family. Exeter School is an HMC and IAPS co-educational school for 930 children aged 7 to 18.

Closing date:  midday Thursday 24th June 2021

This post falls into the category of Regulated Activity. Exeter School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
