The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration support to the Operational Manager regarding the College academic timetabling, applications information recording, system reports and room booking requirements.

Main duties:
To assist with:-

  • All timetable creation and amendments
  • Application processing & recording for all accepted students
  • Update MIS (Management Information Systems) data throughout the year
  • Ensuring all system reports are up to date and relevant
  • Update all students attendance on the Bromcom system recording
  • Ensure all College room allocations are managed and accurate

Subsidiary Duties:

  • Monitor daily registers to ensure accurate and timely completion by teaching staff
  • Issue students with absence recording sheets as per reports produced via the MIS
  • Maintain MCAS (My Child at School System)
  • Ensure students are compliant regarding the wearing of College Uniform and English language requirements
  • Assist with the co-ordination of  College trips and events as and when required
  • Ad hoc office and administration support and related tasks as and when required by senior staff

Due to the nature of the role and required deliverables, all relevant training will be provided

Person Specifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent word processing and IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software packages
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Honesty and reliability
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks and to work extra hours to meet deadlines as and when required.
  • Discretion and an understanding of confidentiality issues.

Candidate Requirements (Preferred but not essential):

  • Previous experience of working in an educational environment
  • An understanding of academic network and IT systems e.g MIS/BROMCOM/MCAS
  • Experience of/ understanding co-ordination of room bookings and related tasks
  • Previous experience of reports and data production
  • To undergo and participate in personal and professional development that is appropriate to and will which enhance performance.
