Contract type: Permanent. Term Time plus 4 weeks.37 hours a week.

Polam Hall School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Administrative Officer for its busy Primary Phase.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing pro-active administrative support for the Primary Phase of Polam Hall liaising with the Head of Junior School and staff working in the Primary Phase.

• To provide specific PA assistance to the Head of Junior School

• To liaise with parents, taking messages and resolving day-to-day issues.

• Contributing to the operational administration of the school through the work of the general office and to spend some time working in the general office as directed

• Responsible for the provision of First Aid in the Primary Phase

Our ideal candidate will have a good general education and a Level 3 qualification in Business and Administration or equivalent. You will have proven experience of administration in a school setting or other business setting and knowledge and understanding of schools and education. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders at all levels. You will be able to demonstrate resilience and the ability to tactfully respond to parents. You will also be skilled in the use of IT and Microsoft Office and have excellent keyboarding skills.

Polam Hall School is a 4-19 co-educational day and boarding school which converted to Free School Status in September 2015. It is now part of Woodard Academies Trust and forms part of the Trust’s Northern Hub. The Trust is working effectively with Polam Hall School to prepare the school for its first OFSTED, expected in 2017/18.

This is a very exciting time at Polam Hall. The school has grown to its current 700 pupils over the last two years and will continue to expand until it reaches a roll of around 880.
